25 April 2007

HRH the Queen Mother arrived today. I had organised her tickets through my airmiles and flew her Virgin into Montego Bay. A nervous traveller, I though it was a much safer option than have her wander aimlessly through the chaos that is Norman Manley airport in Kingston, so the day booked off work is a small price to pay.

Needless to say the course of anything does not run smooth when my mother gets involved and she was refused entry onto the plane. She was entirely without fault, for a change, and the problem lay with the airline, and thankfully Big Sis was on hand to purchase a replacement ticket. It did not make for a pleasant journey for her. Still she had made it this far and I intended making her enjoy Jamaica to show the effort of travelling is worth it.
