Mother and Father of Leisure left today after 5 weeks. Tempers already stretched, finally snapped on Sunday night and there were plenty of raised voices in the house. Not mine, as I had sensibly gone to bed early in preparation for work. Having woken with the noise, I even more sensibly decided to stay where I was, after hearing my name being bandied about in less than complimentary tones.

We are only 24 weeks into the year and the in-laws have been with us one third of that. It’s no wonder we were all getting on each others nerves. I don’t want to detract from what they have done for us, but I’ll not be asking them again. Lady of Leisure is already not looking forward to her summer break back home as she will be forced to stay with them.
House immediately feels freer and more easy going, though it is also much less crowded which is contributing
